At AKC Rottweiler Kennel, we are dedicated to raising the healthiest puppies for our new owners. To ensure the best experience for both you and your puppy, we have policies regarding visits:

If you’re looking for a reputable breeder and want to avoid puppy mills or scams (and you absolutely should), you’re welcome to request references, contact our vet (who personally conducts all exams), reach out to me directly, and review our health care guarantee. This will give you the confidence you need to know you’re working with a trusted breeder.

Before bringing your puppy home, please consult with your vet about vaccination schedules and when it will be safe for your puppy to be exposed to public spaces where other dogs or people may have been. While many websites recommend visiting the breeder and meeting their dogs for peace of mind, it’s important to consider the health of the puppy and the adult dogs as well.

Our puppies are raised in our home, meaning any visit to meet them would also involve interacting with the puppies’ mama and the adult dogs, which could pose health risks for everyone involved. After your initial deposit or full payment, I’m happy to provide you with pictures and videos of your puppy. I can also arrange a FaceTime session so you can meet your chosen puppy virtually.

Puppy Safety

Puppy immune systems are not mature enough to handle most outside influences until they are approximately 12 weeks old. Some unsuspecting  people and their yards have been exposed to Parvovirus, distemper, etc. If those same people visit my young puppies it could result in the death of the entire litter.

If the mama of my puppies is stressed out because there are strangers in the house with her young puppies and jumps up to assess the threat , she can  harm the puppies.

Because she is stressed, the nutritional value of her milk changes, which stresses the puppies. If the puppies are too stressed, their little bodies cannot fight sickness.

Finally, other people like you have put deposits on their puppies…they are anxiously waiting…. and now their puppies are also under threat of injury or sickness.
